Reuters Newsmaker event on CSR
Social responsibility: Whose business is it? That’s the theme of Reuters’ Newsmaker event, which features blog posts about corporate responsibility. As the web site says: “Corporate responsibility is increasingly important in today’s global landscape, with companies taking a greater role in developing communities, working to reduce poverty and addressing the health of our planet.” The event takes place on Thursday November 9, 2006. In addition to reading the various posts (including some from Asia and the Caribbean, mine and www.rightsaction.blogspot.com included), you can also participate in the Internet relay chat (IRC) discussion. Don’t worry if you’re a non-techie. You can use the very straightforward web-based interface, http://irc.globalvoicesonline.org/chat/irc.cgi).
