No Indians in advertisements?

Prominent lawyer, Anand Ramlogan, recently wrote about what he perceives as the absence of Indian men in advertisements, a glaring issue in a country where Indo-Trinidadians are a majority race. The Manicou Report provides a detailed script of Mr Ramlogan’s rant, and concludes that he just might be right. According to Mani, “advertisers (in Trinidad and tobago) are pandering to stereotypes and prejudices”. New telecommunications provider, Digicel has come in for high praise in ramlogan’s article for showcasing Indian people, in addition to other races, in its advertisement.
