Five ways your blog or website can SUCK

Does your website suck?

Eric Eggertson over at the CommonSense PR blog has five, pretty good criteria you can use to assess your website/ blog’s level of sucking… or not. He suggest that you consider:

  1. Function

  2. Quality of writing

  3. Flow

  4. Amount of information

  5. Structure

This was dead on. However, there are days when I have “bloggers block”. Currently people hit on my site to read everything about Jamaica’s upcoming election…and my cycnical views….but it’s scary knowing that in another few weeks I am going to have change my approach….

I hear you. Expecially when you’re writing about current affirs, you know people expect followups, and regular ones at that.

Sometimes, apart from blogger’s block, you just need a break. I myself have to take some time out to write some posts.

Yeah….but now people are writing me on and offline asking me to “keep it coming”. I don’t know what I will be saying after the elections:). One of the things I need to learn though is how to write positively. I admit it is a major blunder with me…it’s like I am picking everything and everyone apart on my site (except my favourite politician)..so I think that I need to really learn how to stop knocking everything in site:)

Thanks for this info, Karel. Some days it’s a struggle to write something that will not only inform but entertain. I guess my approach is to throw everything in the pot, to keep folks wondering what’s next!:)
Thanks for your support of Cheese-on-bread as well.

Any time :)
