Kanye West wins on Technorati

After all the hype, Kanye West has beat 50 Cent in first-week sales, by 2 to 1. I’ll admit I was supporting Kanye all the way because I think he’s a much better artist, and I can rock to his stuff. Apart from using record sales to gauge people’s interest, you can also take a look at technorati.com. When you click on the homepage, you see music bloggers are linking to, 75 blogs linked to Kanye’s album, while only 22 linked to 50 cent’s.

True. I’m not one of his greatest fans or anything, but I can appreciate really creative talent as opposed to just spitting rhymes on beats.

I love Common and Talib Kweli though.
