The Secret Blog of Patrick Manning
So elections is November 5th! D madness start, and Trinis are having a time with social media tools to accompany all the drama, wit and humour that form the entertaining aspects of elections (believe me it does have some rel chupidness sometimes).
The Secret Blog of Patrick Manning has been getting rave reviews, and deservedly so. I must admit the “Honourable” PM sent me a Facebook request, but being allergic to politics I kept my distance. However, he has been seriously amusing and impressing me with his great writing and ability to tell an engaging story, and anyone who can increase the laughter chemicals in my brain has my vote, at least on the blogosphere
The Secret Blog of Patrick Manning
Patos (as some Trinis call him) was recently interviewed by Caribbean Free Radio, and he’s his normal witty self. I tell you, if he brought that personality to the fore in real life, I’d go to political meetings because it just doesn’t get better… well I guess it can
He also makes an interesting statement in the interview, which belies that he knows quite a lot about Internet usage behaviour based on the segments of society and PNM followers.
“GP (Georgia Popplewell): Do you plan to mention the blog during the campaign season?
PM: That’s something we’re discussing at the moment. Many PNM supporters have no idea what a blog is. Some of them don’t even know what the Internet is. Some members of the party believe it could backfire on us and come off as elitist.”
Anyhow, the purpose of this blog post is to tell you go check his blog. There you’ll find a congregation of politicians all trying to compete for the hearts of the readers, but the PM is in the top spot right now.
PS: You can also find him on Facebook, as well as in the Caribbean Bloggers Massive group.
